On Saturday, December 18, the YPDers visited Mr. William Small and other residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Home.  The YPDers were assisted by Ms. Emily Tessema, the YPD Director, and Ms. Lynn Boyd, Miss Charlotte Reynolds, and Ms. Valerie Johnson.  Miss Jaynita Wise was the piano accompanyist.

 

The YPDers sang many Christmas songs, and also performed some songs through sign language.  Julius Russell and Justin Schrilla each read a poem.  The YPDers also passed out beautifully wrapped peanut butter crackers to each of the residents.  The residents of Heritage Manor were so happy to have the YPDers perform and were also glad to receive the treats!  It was a wonderful experience for our young people and for the residents of Heritage Manor.
