Dr. Dwan L. Prude

 

 

Pastor Dwan L. Prude was born March 4, 1979. He is the youngest of eight children born from the union of Pastor Carl E. Prude, Sr. and Mother Lillie B. Prude - founders of Bride of Christ COGIC. He was licensed to preach the gospel at age 17 and later ordained an Elder at age 24. He was appointed assistant pastor of Bride of Christ COGIC at age 25. He was appointed pastor of Bride of Christ COGIC at age 30 after his father’s death in 2009. All of his appointments were within the Illinois Southeast Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Dr. William Scott.

Dr. Prude graduated high school from the academically elite Illinois Math & Science Academy (IMSA).  He attended the Missouri University of Science and Technology, earning a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MS in Quality Engineering. He was awarded the prestigious Chancellors Fellowship at age 25 which would allow him to complete his PHD in Engineering Management.  However, he refused the opportunity in order to support his ailing father. Although he returned home from college in 2004, his father died only 5 years later. The ministry still lives.

Dr. Prude has been married to his college sweet heart LaChelle for nearly fifteen years. They have 8 children and reside in Florissant, Missouri.  For almost 10 years, he has been employed at the Boeing Company and currently works as a Procurement Financial Analyst. He is also the founder and CEO of the Illinois Media Town International (IMTI) LLC. His passion for developing people is evident through his Illinois Town Storm AAU Basketball Club. His Godly teaching has produced a 3-peat (2006 – 2009) of basketball City Championships at Dunbar Elementary school. In 2010 he made history as the first middle school basketball coach from East St. Louis to win the IESA Class 7-4A Boys 7^th Grade Basketball State Championship. Before each game, his players took the court saying “God is the final Cause, therefore we win!”

 Dr. Prude’s life work is to build the Illinois Media Town Complex which will teach people how to utilize their ‘basketball skills’, ‘business ideas’ and ‘brains’ as they discover their ‘cause’ for existing. His dissertation is entitled “Discerning Biblical Evidence Which Substantiates God as the Only Uncaused.”
