Sunday, August 28, 2005 is Lydia Missionary Society Annual Day.  The morning guest speaker is Rev. Valerie Toney-Parker, Associate Minister of St. John A.M.E. Church in Aurora.  Rev. Parker is the daughter of Rev. Dr. Louis Toney, our Presiding Elder.  The Missionary Society has asked that each adult member of St. James pay an assessment of $25.00.  Envelopes are provided for this assessment.  Also in celebration of Annual Day, an after church dinner is planned at Old Country Buffet in Streamwood.  A room has been reserved for the dinner, and the cost is $10.00 per person.  There is a sign-up sheet in the church narthex for anyone wishing to attend.  We thank each and every one of you for your continued support of Lydia Missionary Society and look forward to a blessed time of fellowship in the Lord.
