Grace and Peace be with you my St. James family,

I just wanted to say Thank You for all the prayers extended to my mother during her recent hospitalization.

Brother Richard and Sister Wanda Glover took the time to come and pray over my mother at the hospital. 

My spirit remains with each and everyone of you as God continues to lift me in Minneapolis. I pray that one day soon I will be in town to once again Worship God and fellowship with you.

Until then, my prayers and blessing to St. James

I am new to the state and to this area and was browsing the internet trying to find a church in which to visit.  I enjoyed looking at the photos.  Your church seem like a very close knit organization.  I am from Vaiden, MS and a member of Haven United Methodist Church and have been looking for a church in this area.  I really do not know the difference in United Methodist and AME.  Are there many differences?  Would I have any difficulty converting from UM to AME?  I work Sundays, but hope to visit in the near future.

I just want to compliment you on such a wonderful website.  I am a member and more of Eternal Flame A. M. E. Church in North Chicago, Il.  My pastor is Rev. Paul Shanklin.  I really admire looking at order of your service and programs.  I have not been able to visit you personally but intend to do so.  I would like for us to fellowship together at times.  We will be having our Youth Revival on July 26, 27, 28 and you are more than welcome to attend or participate.  We will aslo be having our TGIF - Jam on August 25 (Today God Is First) Please come and attend and observe the Lord doing what He does best, showing up and showing out.  May the Lord continue to bless you and enlarge your territory.

To the St. James A.M.E. Church,

I loved looking at the familiar faces in the photos, and also the new. I glad to to see the church is doing well. My mom(Dr. Geraldine Crider) told me about the web site I thought would check it out from time to time. Since I am in the U.S. Navy and Iam going on deployment on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Nimitz in May. This web site will A great way to hear about all wonderful events and sunday services. I wish everyone well back in Elgin, IL.
