As the Executive Director of the Department of Church Growth and Development, it is my immense pleasure to extend the invitation to you to join clergy and laity from around the AME Connectional globe, January 4-6, 2017, in Memphis TN at the first Annual Seminar on Church Growth and Evangelism and Certification Programs for the new Quadrennial!
It remains clear that if our churches are to experience numeric growth, if our communities are to be rooted by the Good News of True Vine, then our members must be provided with the requisite tools to induce spiritual growth. Healthy, good growth requires time, patience, and the willingness to faithfully and lovingly tend to the small as well as the large crops and the issues that impact each. Hence, this Seminar is dedicated to cultivating the groundwork that has been laid at previous Seminars, while also providing opportunities to plant seeds in seldom considered or randomly explored vineyards.
The preachers, presenters, and facilitators who will be present with us, will give us “good food” to nourish and nurture our minds, spirits, and souls, so that we may return to our respective locations to do the same to and for those in our respective local congregations and other settings where we are located.
