Our little girl's Tom Thumb wedding was delightful.  Alex got a medallion saying "Alexander The Great-Class of 2021" and Lilliana got a "wedding ring" of dime store quality with a tiny flower which had a rhinestone center.  Her Mother has saved it for her.
I think the thing to stress in the mock wedding is the respect and bonds of friendshop being forged.  Also suggest that if you are doing this as a fund raiser that you cast the Mother of the Bride with giant handkerchief, father of the bride with pockets turned inside out etc. for theatrical effect.

I am thinking about doing a tom thumb wedding to raise money for a family event.  My mother has six children and eighteen grandchildren (most are adults) and 5 great grand children.  We would all like to take my mother to the mountains for a thanksgiving holiday together all her children and their spouses, grand children and their spouses and greatgrand children.  This is my mothers dream.  We are a very close family we all live within 3 to 15 miles of each other some of us live just minutes away from each other.  I would like to do this project to bring my extended family (my cousins)and all there grand children together because the grandchildren and greatgrand children don't all know each other.  So many families and friends will come together for this occasion I can almost visualize it in my mind.  I'm it take place in a park on a warm spring day.  Please e-mail me your script and any ideas you may have to make this a very meaningful occasion that the adults can enjoy as well.

 I was a four year old bride in 1936 in a Tom Thumb Wedding at my church.  This year my church, St. John's United Church of Christ in Elmore, OH is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
It has been suggested for one of the programs we recreate the Tom Thumb Wedding.  Problem, none of us that were in it remember any of the details, and the members who would have planned it are no longer living.

Our church is in the process of rebuilding our youth department. So far, we have started a youth choir and we are working on beginning a children's church service. We would like to present a Tom Thumb Wedding as a fundraiser to purchase materials for our children's church. Our first purchase will be the NLT Bible for them to more easily understand the word of God. I feel the youth will appreciate and care for the materials much more if they work to earn the money needed themselves.
