Lynnette Boyd, member St. James AME Church and Hoffman Estates, Class of 2007, has been selected to participate in the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC), an extraordinary leadership development program for outstanding high school students. While attending the NSLC, Lynnette will have the opportunity to study, experience, and develop the skills and traits that define and identify a leader. This year approximately 8000 gifted high school students from across the United States and 45 countries will find themselves emersed in a learning environment unlike any they have ever experienced. These young leaders return to their schools with increased potential and newly developed abilities that enable them to make a positive difference in their communities.

THE NSLC offers leadership conferences on mastering Leadership, Law & Advocacy, Medicine & Health Care, Entrepreneurship and Business, International Diplomacy, US Policy and Politics, Intelligence and National Security, and Inside the Arts.

St. James Members,

To all those who have either donated money or wished me well in order for me to attend the National Student Leadership Conference in Chicago over the summer, I would like to say thank you. You have put me well on my way to being able to attend the conference by helping me to raise $475 so far. I have not reached my total goal for the cost of the conference but your donations have helped. I have applied for a scholarship to help with financing my trip but it is not always a guarantee to receive it. If there were any way that anyone can think of to help it would be very much appreciated. The money that I need to raise is in the amount of $720 and is due by May 1st 2005. Once again I thank those who have helped and I hope that you keep me in your prayers.
